DEREK DALY
Derek Daly is known in motor sports circles around the world as a talented and passionate driver, writer, broadcaster, racing advisor and businessman. Since forming his own company in 2002, he has used the platform of motor sports to emotionally engage business people and racing enthusiasts with the objective of creating powerful teaching and solution design moments. Daly’s passionate ability to explain the principles of high performance through personal reflections and experiences enables his clients to understand how to integrate the exceptional skills of the world's most successful racing teams into their corporate culture.
Derek competed as a professional race car driver for 17 years before becoming a television motor sports commentator, driving school entrepreneur, and public speaker. During that time, he was one of a handful of world-class drivers to compete in all three of the most successful races in the world: The Indianapolis 500, the Grand Prix of Monaco, and the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race. He competed against the best and won races all over the world--and was nearly killed three times. Derek Daly’s experiences are breathtaking.
Drawing on his original research on business with some of the legends of professional auto racing, including Rusty Wallace, Roger Penske, Mario Andretti and A.J. Foyt, Derek discusses why some individuals and teams fail to reach their potential while others become successful and famous.
Born in Dublin, Ireland, Derek Daly currently resides in the metro Indianapolis area with his wife, Rhonda, and their three children.
